The Archdiocese of Cincinnati has introduced SafeParish, a new program to replace Virtus.
SafeParish™ is a learning management platform that provides a broad array of training and information programs. It is a child and workplace safe environment program specifically designed for Catholic entities.
Who needs it?
Every person over the age of 18 in a position that requires contact or interaction with youth or vulnerable adults must complete the
SafeParish™ edition of Protecting Children from Sexual Abuse training session before they are permitted to work or volunteer within any of the Archdiocese of Cincinnati parishes, schools, or institutions.
How do I become SafeParish approved?
You will need to register for a SafeParish account, complete a background check and child protection training class. To remain active, you will need to complete the quarterly bulletins as they become available. If you fall behind on quarterly bulletins, your SafeParish account will become inactive. Click the PDF on the right for step by step instructions to register for an account.
If you already have an active SafeParish account through a different parish within the Archdiocese of Cincinnati : You do not need to attend a training or do another background check. You DO need to log into you SafeParish account and add St. Margaret of York to your account. To do this, log into your SafeParish account. Click "My Account" in the menu bar, then right above "User Name", click "Edit Orgs/Roles". Add St. Margaret of York-Loveland and Submit.
View the SafeParish Account Registration PDF to the right for step by step instructions, then visit www.AoCSafeenvironment.org.
