Preparing students to receive the sacraments is a time-honored practice of the church, and serves as milestones in a lifelong journey of faith formation.
Together with their parents, teachers, and parish priests, our students prepare throughout the year with religion classes, sacramental meetings, and attendance at Mass and adoration.
Students receive the sacraments on Reconciliation and Holy Eucharist in second grade. In eighth grade, students receive the sacrament of Confirmation.

Religion is an integral part of our school day at St. Margaret of York. Our students and staff attend mass together each Tuesday at 8:15 AM. Parents and grandparents are welcome to join us.
Graduating eighth grade students have many options available for high school. Over the years, St. Margaret of York students have chosen to attend many local high schools, both private and public.
Most high schools offer Shadow Days for 8th grade students. It is strongly encouraged to shadow on our In-Service days when students are off. If you are shadowing during a normal school day, 8th grade students should notify their teachers and are responsible for making up their school work. Please be sure to notify the school office of absence on the shadow days as well.
