Preparing students to receive the sacraments is a time-honored practice of the church, and serves as milestones in a lifelong journey of faith formation.
Together with their parents, teachers, and parish priests, our students prepare throughout the year with religion classes, sacramental meetings, and attendance at Mass and adoration.
Students receive the sacraments of Reconciliation and Holy Eucharist in second grade. In eighth grade, students receive the sacrament of Confirmation.

Religion is an integral part of our school day at St. Margaret of York. Our students and staff attend mass together each Tuesday at 8:15 AM. Parents and grandparents are welcome to join us.
Our 8th grade students are taught to be role models for the younger students, and we often look for opportunities that allow them to take a leadership role within the school community. During all school mass, the 8th grade students sit with the kindergarten students to model proper church behavior and create friendships with the newest members of our school community.
In additional to local public high schools, our graduating eighth grade students benefit from having a variety of fantastic private high schools in the area to choose from. We encourage our students and their parents to attend high school open houses and schedule shadow visits to help them decide which high school is the best fit for them.
