No. Students of all faiths are welcome at Saint Margaret of York. Currently, 10% of our students practice outside of the Catholic faith. While we respect all religious backgrounds, the Catholic faith is an important part of our school day and our identity. All students participate in daily religion classes, prayer, and weekly mass. Non-Catholic students are not required to participate in receiving the sacraments.

St. Margaret of York offers a variety of resources and services, and we do accommodate many students with IEPs. Our principal, with the help of our intervention team, will review your child's IEP to ensure we can provide the necessary assistance. If we are unable to meet your student's needs, we would be happy to refer you to neighboring schools with more appropriate support in place.
St. Margaret of York School is a Jon Peterson Scholarship provider, which allows students with an IEP to receive state funding for services.

Our school day is from 8:00 AM-3:00 PM. We offer on-site After-School Care from 3:00 PM-6:00 PM. We do not offer Before-School Care, however students may be dropped off as early as 7:30 AM. For more information about our after school program, please visit https://smoyschool.org/after-school-care

Bus transportation to and from SMOY may be provided by the local school district you reside in. Contact your local school district's transportation office for more information and to register your student for bus service. Currently, Kings, Little Miami, Loveland, Mason and Princeton school districts provide transportation for SMOY students. Parents may request reimbursement of transportation costs from their public school district if they do not provide bussing.

Kindergarten students must be 5 years old by August 1st of the year they will be starting school.

In general, current students, siblings of current students, and children of active SMOY parishioners receive priority placement. For our full Admissions Priority Policy, please see the Parent/Student Handbook.

Open registration occurs January 1st-January 15th each year. Applications for new students should be submitted during this period using our Online Application Portal. We will continue to accept applications after the open registration period if space is available. Applicants may be placed on a waitlist if classes are full. Provided there is space available in the grade you're interested in, we do accept new students on a limited basis throughout the school year.

Students graduating from St. Margaret of York have many options available for high school.
