A group of 7th and 8th grade students had the privilege of participating in a program called Magnified Giving. Through this 6-week program, our students learned about philanthropy and were able to put this education to good use! Students were split into small groups to research various nonprofits that they felt called to learn more about. They then presented their research to their fellow students, teachers, parents, and members of the Magnified Giving Board. The winning group received a $1000 grant to present to their charity of choice, and the second place winners received a $500 grant. To learn more about this wonderful program and its founder, Roger Grein, check out their website. Congratulations to everyone involved! https://www.magnifiedgiving.org
What a great way to kick off Catholic Schools Week! The Open House had a great turnout of both new and existing families! So many tours, wonderful fellowship, and 500 donuts consumed! Thank you to all involved. Enjoy Catholic Schools Week!!!
Gingerbread science! What would have happened to the gingerbread man if he had tried to cross the river alone? Students got to hypothesize and see what happens when he goes into the river for a while! They also enjoyed a taste of real gingerbread cookies!
We're excited to bring our SMOY Families program back after a 2 year hiatus! Each family is comprised of one staff member and several students from every grade. Students stay in the same family group from Kindergarten all the way through 8th grade. This faith-filled time together incorporates character building and group service projects. The goal of this program is to foster community and build stronger relationships among students and staff.
